Keele University at the forefront of developments in Sport and Applied Psychology
Dr Paraskevi (Vicky) Goltsi, Professor of Psychology representing Keele University Greece, and Dr Mike McGreary from Keele University, UK, participated with great enthusiasm in the 2025 Annual Conference of the Division of Sport and Exercise Psychology (DSEP) of the British Psychological Society (BPS), entitled
“Beacons of Hope: Mapping the Value and Direction of Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology.”
Both academics played an active role as members of the DSEP Committee, contributing to the strategic planning and successful delivery of a high-profile international conference that brought together distinguished researchers, academics, and professionals in the fields of Sport Psychology, Exercise Psychology, and Performance Psychology. Their participation strengthened key scientific discussions on the future directions of the discipline, highlighting innovative practices, contemporary research approaches, and the growing role of applied psychology in wellbeing and the enhancement of human performance.
The presence of Dr Goltsi and Dr McGreary reflects Keele University’s continued commitment to academic excellence, applied research, and the promotion of international scientific collaboration between the United Kingdom and Greece.
